DALLAS, Jan. 8, 2007 — The Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA), North America, the largest professional trade association dedicated to improving service quality using anonymous resources, announced its newly-elected 2008 North America Board of Directors.

Elected by the membership, the MSPA North America Board consists of 13 directors, four of whom are annually elected officers – President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Directors serve three-year terms. The Board also includes the President of MSPA Europe and MSPA Asia-Pacific.

“The MSPA is confident the new board in 2008 will continue the successful efforts of the 2007 board,” said John Swinburn, Executive Director of the MSPA. “Each board member’s business and industry experience will contribute to the success of MSPA initiatives and the association overall.”

The new Board includes four officers, six returning directors and three new directors.

Christopher Warzynski, President. Warzynski served most recently as MSPA Vice President and previously served two terms as MSPA Treasurer. He currently is the Vice President of Beyond Hello, based in Madison, Wis. His background in international business, retail training and human services all played a major role when he founded Beyond Hello in 1991. In addition, Christopher currently partners with the University Of Wisconsin School Of Business and previously served on the MSPA Governmental Relations committee.

Judi Hess, Vice President. Hess has been active on the MSPA board for seven years and served as Treasurer in 2007. She is the owner of Customer Perspectives, based in Hooksett, N.H., which she founded 25 years ago. Hess is a charter member of the MSPA and has served as Board Liaison to both the Government Relations committee and the Member Services committee. She also founded a travel agency and has been active in state and local politics for years.

Ron Welty, Secretary. Entering his sixth year as an MSPA board member, Welty has previously served the association as the Chair of the Communications committee. In 1999, he founded IntelliShop and is currently President of the company. Welty brings a broad background to the board, as he has worked with clients in more than 20 different industries in the United States and Canada.

Lorri Kern, Treasurer. Kern has been instrumental in building rapport between mystery shoppers and the MSPA. In 2002, she suggested the MSPA create a Shopper Services committee and served as Chair. The following year, the committee initiated the MSPA’s Gold and Silver Certification programs. She has been active at the board level since 2004. Kern is the CEO of KSS International, a staffing provider to the mystery shopping and market research industry, which she founded in 1998.

Three new directors join the MSPA Board for 2008: Candor Guitierrez, Founder and President, Big K Mystery Shopping (Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico); Carl Phillips, Director, Customer 1st (Greensboro, N.C.); and Lynn Saladini, Vice President, ath (pronounced “eighth”) Power Consulting Corporation (Andover, Mass.).
