Core Business Objectives in the Mystery Shopping Industry

The Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA), the largest professional trade association dedicated to improving service quality using anonymous resources, is holding its Fall Educational Workshop, “Reaching New Heights in Peak Performance,” at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Denver from Nov. 11 – 13.

The conference will provide mystery shopping company executives and suppliers a chance to review best practices, discuss industry hot topics and gain insight on new mystery shopping techniques from successful mystery shopping companies and industry experts.

“Many of the world’s largest consumer-based companies in areas like retail, food service, banking, travel and hospitality and residential sales and leasing use mystery shopping,” said John Swinburn, MSPA Executive Director. “This workshop is a great place for mystery shopping company executives to explore new strategies, share ideas and network with colleagues in order to keep top-of-the line clients at the forefront of the mystery shopping industry.”

The conference will begin on Thursday evening, Nov.11 with a Welcome Reception. The sessions begin on Friday with a welcome from Jeff Hall, MSPA President and president of Second to None. The day includes speakers discussing topics such as mystery shopping programs and return-on-investment; increasing revenues and client offerings with marketing research; great shopper performance; shopper databases; client and shopper satisfaction measurement; video shopping applications, techniques and trends; creating mystery shopping reports; building value in mystery shopping services, and the seven principles of smart growth.

Sessions on Saturday include a brief overview of the current regulatory climate for independent contractors (mystery shoppers); mystery shopping company success stories, and a program about better positioning a company with the media for great results.

A Gold Certification Workshop for shoppers is being held in conjunction with the educational workshop. The Gold workshop, held on Saturday, Nov. 13, offers specialized training for current, Silver-certified mystery shoppers. Registration for the Gold Certification Workshop is available at www.mysteryshop.org, by clicking on Shoppers/Certification.
